At Indianhead Kennels our goal is to produce and train quality German Shorthaired Pointers. Our breeding stock is selected for producing desirable traits such as, temperament, natural ability, desire, cooperation and conformation. We use the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) and the American Kennel Club (AKC) testing systems to help evaluate all of our breeding stock.
Our dogs are not only our hunting companions, they are members of our family as well. They are as much at home cuddling on the couch as they are crashing through a marsh to retrieve a downed duck. Our dogs have been successfully hunted in Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia for Pheasant, Grouse, Woodcock and Waterfowl.
